The sanatorium is located in a quiet park near the Tepla river in the neighbourhood of the spa woods.
It is a typical neoclassicistic spa building. Originaly a spa cafe Schonbrun dating back to the 30s of the 19th century. It was rebuilt in 1926-27. Today it is a building of four floors with elements of Classicism. A bronze statue of a deer can be found in the garden.

Indications of spa treatment:
Diseases of the digestive system, metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus, obesity, gout, an increased amount of cholesterol), diseases of locomotive organs

Methodology of spa treatment:
Experienced doctors and medical staff work in the sanatorium. Natural sources, such as Karlovy Vary mineral water, peat and mud are used in treatment.
Hydrotherapeutical methods of treatment are provided in the balneological department of the neighbouring Spa VI. The Richmod Sanatorium offers electrotherapy, therapeutical exercisese, reflexive massages and special methods of treatment (acupuncture, oxygenotherapy). Nursing service and medicamentous treatment are provided if necessary.
